Here are the next five Glorious Hexagons.

#10 Kelly

This Kelly was make using the large horse head print for the central pieces. The outer pieces were cut from the panel fabric. There is a section of the panel fabric along the bottom that is composed of gold script on a brown patterned background. I wasn’t sure about using the script in this project, but decided to give it a try with this block.

#10 Kelly

Here we see the gold script combined with the jumping horses fabric which also features a brown background pattern. I like the way that the two patterned backgrounds blend together so make the transition from one shape to the next more subtle.

#35 Sharon

This Sharon was cut entirely from the running horses fabric. I have seen that fabric also referred to as stampeding horses. This is one of my favorite blocks so far. I really like the way that the yellow horse heads grow out of the brown horse heads.

#35 Sharon

This Sharon was cut entirely from the jumping horses fabric. I chose the lightest horse for the central pieces and the darkest horse for the outer pieces.

#2 Carol

This Carol is cut from the panel fabric. The panel fabric has a lot of potential for creating blocks with a geometric emphasis.
