As predicted last week I managed to finish adding the fourth row of burgundy flowers to each side of the Batik Flower Garden Quilt. So it was back to the mattress Store for a good look at how the top is fitting the mattress.
I managed to baste 144 burgundy hexagons which is enough to put together 24 burgundy flowers for the bottom edge of the quilt.
By this time next week I hope to have a decision about which end will be facing up. I also plan to have all 24 burgundy flowers completed.
Looking great! And I really do love seeing the progress as it relates to an actual bed! That must be so rewarding for you, too!
I do like laying out the work on a mattress when it gets this large. When I went back to the store this time I dealt with a different salesperson than I had the time before. He was just as nice as the other one had been. He asked me all kinds of questions about the processes involved in making a quilt. I left him my card. They have a woman who works there who quilts, so I left a card for her too. Maybe next time I will run into her.
It’s great how you can drop into the store for photo opportunities. Your quilt looks lovely. Visiting from MMSC.
I’ve been out of the loop and missed that you were taking it to stores. It looks great!
Wow! You are amazing! It is absolutely beautiful!
It looks beautiful – great idea to bring it to the mattress store!
